Birds of Paradise is an original brown-based light-on-dark .seestyle theme for Panic Coda
I've been working on a different take to my Specials Board .seestyle theme for a while now. Specifically I wanted to develop something in a little bit warmer color palette, something a little bit more natural. I picked a rich dark brown for the background and began experimenting with complimentary colors over the top. The result is this theme, Birds of Paradise, named for the Paradisaeidae family of birds in New Guinea from which I drew inspiration.
I use the theme extensively for day-to-day programming and markup in HTML, CSS, PHP, Ruby, ERB, Python, Perl, XML, YAML (for Ruby on Rails), bash, and SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQLite) and am looking for feedback from users who work in the modes I'm less familiar with, namely ActionScript, ASP-HTML, CFML, Java, JSP-HTML, LassoScript-HTML, Objective-J, Perl or Smarty for both this mode and Specials Board to work out the nuances of those languages. Contact me if you have any suggestions to make the theme better.
Birds of Paradise supports many of the same custom modes as Specials Board (bash, i18n, makefile, Django Template, YAML, SASS and LESS) as well as a few others (Apache Config Files and Markdown). Installation instructions for those custom modes can be found in the Readme file.
